"We are growing the good"

The convention honored past International Lions Club Presidents, with a warm welcome from the Victorian Government of Australia to Lions from around the world. International Lions Club President Patti Hill praised this year’s humanitarian service achievements and shared inspiring stories from the past year. She expressed high hopes for future organizational growth and member development.

The Nomination Committee announced the candidates for the third Vice President position: Monoj Shan and Alexis Vincent Gomes. The convention also encouraged global Lions organizations to innovate and diversify their service projects, highlighting examples from Australia and the Greater China region.

Patti Hill presented the Global Champion medal to Fan Jin from China, winner of the 36th International Peace Poster Contest, witnessed by the entire Chinese Lions delegation.

The flag ceremony at the opening featured participation from 193 countries and regions, showcasing the warmth and diverse development of the Lions family. A Chinese-language seminar with Lions leaders also took place, focusing on global membership service impact, leadership enhancement, and International Foundation fundraising.
